Stamford Lacrosse Association (SLA) is committed to the safety of its athletes and families. Established guidelines have been implemented as they follow State of Connecticut, Stamford Public Health, US Lacrosse and CONNY Lacrosse League. COVID-19 Protocols will be updated and amened as current conditions warrant.
Participation in athletics is voluntary and poses some risk, and we encourage all to make the best decision for their child and family.
*** Please stay at home if you are quarantined, feeling sick or experiencing the following COVID-19 symptoms: fever higher than 100.3˚F, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, loss of taste or smell, headache, chills, muscle, or body aches and/or sore throat. If you are unable to attend school for any reason, including a positive test, contract tracing, family member has been quarantined for any reason including positive test, YOU MAY NOT ATTEND PRACTICE AND/OR GAMES until you are eligible to return to school based on the SPS criteria.
MASKS / DISTANCING
Players must wear masks to/from field of play, and while not engaged in field play or practice.
Players shall socially distance whenever possible including on the sidelines, water breaks, timeout when possible.
PARENT SIDELINE:
Currently there is no spectators allowed for winter sports at SPS. We are awaiting further guidance for the spring season.
EQUIPMENT/PERSONAL ITEMS
Players should bring water bottles and other personal equipment. Equipment must be put on before your child arrives at the field.
Get tested 3-5 days after travel AND self-quarantine at home for a full 7 days after travel.
Continue to stay home and self-quarantine for a full 7 days after travel, even if your test is negative.
If your test is positive, isolate yourself to protect others from getting infected.
If you do not get tested, stay home and self-quarantine for a full 10 days after travel.
Remember to self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 while in quarantine. If at any time during your quarantine you develop signs and symptoms of COVID-19, self-isolate (including away from other members of your travel party), contact a healthcare provider, and seek testing.
REPORTING

Parents of children who are considered a close contact of a player who tests positive for COVID-19 will be notified immediately.
